Almost a year already when I transferred in Pasig. I never knew about this place until my first day, hmm, first week of working inside the brgy.
I would say, Brgy Kapitolyo is one of the best places in Metro Manila. I’m a certified foodie and if you’re like me, I’d recommend you pay this place a visit.
Let me tour you and show you with what’s inside this brgy in my future posts but first let me start with Kainan Au Gusto.
Some would consider this a carinderia type, but wait until you get inside and be amazed with all the things you’ll see. If you’re following me on Instagram @ aprilibanez you probably saw my posts about this carinderia.
Antique lamps & an old kiddie car
During lunch, line could get a little long until the entry area
This section of the carinderia reminds me of the one you’ll see inside a typical province-house.
Au Gusto serves delicious Filipino dishes, one of the reasons why patrons always prefer to dine here regardless of the long queue. Some would say, this was the old Cafe Juanita before it moved to its new place near Haru.
Aside from the antique collection, I saw a shelf of old books too, I’m not sure if these are for sale though. I found this place very interesting. Every decor is conversational and can make you curious of its story.
Did I just satisfy your eyes with their decorations?
Until my next Kapitolyo adventure post! :)

10 Rules For Never Being Broke In Your 20s
Here’s another tip-post for y’all. Something to do with budget & age. WHAT?! AGE! Yes. No.
If you’re going to ask my age, I will just answer you with "20-something" I’m still on the denial stage with my age. Kidding. Seriously, I never felt getting old until I turned 18 years old last ‘07. Now, do the math & I cringe. I actually envy those kiddos I always see in cafeterias, malls. When I say kiddos, I am referring to high school to college students. Why? Just because they look fresh, no problems, no stress, I could think of "baon". Well, I’ve been there.
SNAP! I’m already working for 2years now. Hard working to climb that so-called corporate ladder for that “salary” to survive life. Now I understand the word “reality" fully.
I’ve been to a lot of situations at my age and I can attest that the following rules/tips you’ll read below are somehow helpful.
Have you ever told yourself, “Why am I broke???”, ‘I’m broke!”
Here you go with the Top 10 rules you could consider for never being broke in your 20s.
Just like HER
Here’s a self-portrait pic for a bed weather Sunday! :) Stay safe & dry, you all.
Yes, I just revived my mood to blog today. I have been out of the circulation for a couple of months. Not that updated anymore with what’s going on outside my workstation / cubicle. Just like what I’m always saying, “been really busy” and I find it unhealthy already. My "dot com" domain name with Go Daddy’s no longer active. :’( See? Very unhealthy. Anyway, here’s what made me open again my Tumble-log.
I stayed in our house the whole Sunday & just cuddled my pillows. I’m feeling a little under the weather for almost a week and today’s the best day to take a rest as we are all experiencing MARING. I spent the day watching SATC and I felt so inspired again because of Carrie Bradshaw & her dreamy closet. <3
Every girl’s dream is to have her own walk-in closet, right?
Just like what Carry Bradshaw’s response when asked whether or not she wanted a diamond, “No Just get me a really big closet”. Well, just like her, I’ve been dreaming to have a walk in closet where I can see all my collection of dresses, bag & shoes.
I’m sourcing inspirations over the net for a loft-bedroom closet and I’m so excited to design my small room already! I don’t have a big kind of room so a loft-bed inspired closet will be fine for me. Do you have small-space closet ideas? Please share!!! :)
Here’s another “emote”photo to end this blogpost.
This is not a DSLR photo, but from my trusty 4s. I just used FOTOR editor and voila! I love the greyscale effect. <3
Until my next post!

It’s almost April and until now I can count on my fingers the entries I have posted. That means, I rarely blog. I’m so sad about my laziness to do so.
Anyway, It has been declared that it’s officially SUMMER!!! I can see a lot with their bee-eyes on (sporting their fave sunnies), everywhere.
I’m on a houndstooth craze right now that I even bought fabrics and other stuff with this classic print.
What do you think of this timeless print?
Because it’s summer and the humidity we have now is totally unbearable, I love to have so many loose top for a breathy feeling when I’m outside the office or house.
I hope you still read my blog despite of my hiatus ☺

I’m going away to where the grass is greener…
So I bet, you’re singing now? :) I got my title from the lyrics of Green Green grass of home.
In my own personal view, I figured, Green is always associated with something or a place that is more peaceful or calming. Right? Well I guess, I feel more relaxed when I see a green place.
Without further ado, here’s the last Acacia-related entry I’ll be posting for now. We took advantage of the place so why not share here? ♥
Photo above was my most favorite among all the photos I have gathered during our stay there. Cutiepatootie shot! Thanks, Karla!
What I wore: White dress, Animal print sunnies, H&M neon shoes, SM Department store polka dot pouch.
Fact about me: I love anything and everything with a bow or ribbon accent.
Brace yourselves as you scroll down and see my pacute photos. ♥
Thanks, April ♥
